Question: do I need to install and run the Federated Core VPN since I am using another VPN on my system? If so why?

      Hello Mark,
To answer your question briefly, you do _not_ _need_ to install and run the Federated Core VPN. It is entirely an option, and a useful one, if you want to have encrypted VPN traffic specifically between your computer/device and your own Core.

You are absolutely able to continue relying upon your own VPN. In that instance data will flow from your VPN service provider’s endpoint to your Core (still utilising SSL/TLS encryption as per usual).
Thank you for reaching out with your question! You can also directly ask questions of us via our Information and Support ticketing systems, which can also be emailed at info@federated.computer and support@federated.computer .
